We are not dead...yet!

I cannot believe how quiet it's been! As a founding member of this wonderful little club, I'd like to apologize for the lack of updates and what not! Life has just been insanely hectic for all of us lately.

That doesn't mean we haven't been gaming though! Our Xbox systems have been churning late into the night with the likes of Monday Night Combat and Limbo!

Thank god, though, for Xbox Live Arcade games! Without them, this would have been one boring ass summer. Luckily, we'll be seeing the ending of that drought come onto the horizon as Halo:Reach finally launches.

Anyways, here's the rank for the founding members in terms of how much we've gained since January 1st of this year:

4.) RaverZombie69 - +5,270

3.) XCinX - +8,465

2.) MOtaku - +11,438

1.) MackD512 - +11,643

Like always, the chasing is heating up between MO and Mack!

Happy gaming!

M.I.A

Evening, boys and girls.

Obviously, you've all probably noticed the lack of updates to the site over the last few months. No, we have not stopped gaming or closed the blog down. Far from it. We're always trying to keep things lively and fresh here, coming up with new challenges and contests to get the site's name out there. Sadly, there just aren't enough hours in a day to do everything.

Some of us are working multiple jobs, going to school, trying to settle into new jobs and so on. Hell, I've been studying and busting my own arse off to hopefully land a gig with a major publisher. But that is neither here nor there.

Anyways, rest assured we're still alive and still striving for more and more achievements!

Until the later meets the now, happy gaming!

Crackdown 2 demo with Achievements!

Evening, boys and girls.

I know a lot of people are on the fence about the upcoming game, Crackdown 2. The first one was a big seller for Microsoft primarily for the fact that it included a beta then for Halo 3. Most people finally cracked the disc out of the box and played it. The discovered a fairly interesting gem. Was it worth $60? That depends on how much time you invested into the game by hunting all 800 hidden orbs, leveling up, ect. Years later, the new game has been announced and is set to be released on July 8th.

Luckily, for all the Xbox Live Gold Members, there is a demo out today. With a bonus, mind you! By playing the demo, you have the ability to earn 100 achievement points (10 various achievements). The achievements are stackable through various play throughs of the 30 minute demo. So, if you get 6 out of 10, you only have to work on the other four.

So, give the demo a try. You don't like it? You're only out a few minutes of your day. Like it? You'll have a head start on the 1000 points from what is shaping up to being a fantastic open world action title.

Alan Wake Fever

Wow, it's been over a month since my last posting, uh? Well, it definitely is ironic that my first post in a month would be about a game about a writer.

Anyways, I'm going to admit, I was extremely "meh" about Alan Wake as a game. I thought the story was awesome, the graphics good, but the game play and mechanics were just average. Hell, I even took a break and started playing 'Red Dead Redemption' instead.

I was wrong.

After finally taking the time to beat it, I was instantly enthralled in what can only be described as a cinematic experience turned video game. It is hard to not rant and rave about this game, but I'll not go on and on. Go forth and read reviews if you haven't already.

For now, enjoy this amazing video to "War" by Poets of the Fall, a song from Alan Wake. The video even stars the actor that plays Alan in the game.
